Pigs are tricky...was caught in a no bid situation one time back in the late nineties I think...no fun. What helped me is hanging around a few hog traders at Doc Murry's...still learning but what also helped me was the long term charts that are contract specific...and you have to treat each set of months separately with the seasonal trends and cycles that the hogs have...can be very confusing sometimes and you have to be on your game. I usually punch in and punch out not staying to long...although I do better holding longer term positions.
Look for a move up a ways to about the 78.80 area then a possible move to the downside...hog producers won't like it...they are having a hard time of it now.
