You've outted me. I was paying out-of-pocket because they were so cheap and I could fill them when I wanted with no hassles. When I gave them my Humana medicare plan, the co-pay is $6 each. So, in reality, my cost dropped from $10 per quarter to $6 per quarter each.
I was just sticking up for the people who got burned by that kind of increase. Lend a voice, as it were.
When you pay OOP, you can pretty much fill a year's worth in one month if you want to. Insurance only allows you to fill on the schedule. i.e. 3 months worth every 3 months (that's what the counter people told me, anyway).
