The '73 heist was a clever Russian deal where they bought futures and then, at the same time, began forward contracting for grain here in the States. Well, suddenly, there was a shortage in the cash markets causing prices to double. It was rumored at the time that the Russians made enough on the futures to pay for all of the grain purchased.

The Argentines always cleverly sticking it to the NY banks is another great play over the years. the banks fall for it every time. VZ should ask for some advice from them. lol.
