This is good advice. McAfee refuses to be deleted and continues to cause trouble when you think you have. If you've already installed it, I suggest wiping your hard drive now and reinstalling via your backup media. I think McAfee is checked to download when you download Firefox and you must uncheck it to stop it from running. So, be careful there, too.

This advice is old and maybe McAfee has changed but I'll never give them another chance on any other computer I buy.
