I'm still on the hunt for a .416 Rigby. I can readily pick up something nice in a bolt action with some pretty wood t' boot. But, I really want it in a double rifle.
However, I've almost given up on a Holland and Holland ... Six figures is mighty hard to hide from the little woman.
Recently, I stumbled across a Sabatti double rifle. It was in .470 Nitro Express with a price tag of around $7500.00. That puts it close to "hiding range" ... digging it out of the hidey-hole.
However, If I'm going to drop seventy-five hundy .... I want it in .416 Rigby .... It's just that I have wanted a double rifle, in that particular cartridge, for a very, very long time.
