I'll be 62 in feb. You were 22 when I was born...more or less. I can distinctly remember thinking when I got to be 24ish...man, this country aint nearly as free as when I was a kid. I love talking to peeps older than me and one thing I like to ask them is...how much freer do you remember this place being when you were a kid?

Were you aware, as a kid between 5 and 9 or so, of WWII. Can't imagine that you were not but how "aware" of it were you? DId whatever was going on just seem like the "norm" to you? Where did you grow up? City or rural?
