Consensus sez bobcat...a juvenile. Could be why the coloration is not just so and how it managed to get wacked crossing the road. Mama didn't teach it not to play in the middle of the road. ha!

It was 20-22 inches long. From what I see on the net, the average adult goes anywhere between 30 and 50. I didn't realize they got that big!

I detached its head from the other part of its body this morning and have it setting in a homemade defleshing device. Letting bugs and such eat away at it until nothing but skull left. Old professor friend wants it for his skull collection.
