I guess there could be a couple of trains of thought concerning broadcasting versus storing seed. Way back, I broadcasted a lot of seed. I used to argue with my friend that carrying my 7-8 seeds of 45 fescue vs some high capacity broadcaster of lesser quality seed was cool because I broadcasted so well the only time I would need more than 8 seeds was if there were nine planting targets that needed to be sowed in short order. Now with age and getting rusty I look for high cap broadcasters because I figure I need more seeds going down range in order to sow the area properly.

So what is better? A large stockpile of seed that will get sown quickly due to lack of practise broadcasting or a smaller stockpile because of training but training means you don't have to broadcast so much seed when it's time to sow the seed and don't need such a large stockpile of seed???

Not to mention practising sowing seed is FUN!!! 🤣
