Read a story last night that the magic breakpoint for bitcoin miners was something like 24.5K. If it falls below that point, which it did yesterday, then the miners would loose money on their operations.

They mentioned the amount of electricity they used to mine the coins and it was astronomical!

They were thinking that the lower usage of electricity would be so great as to forgo many electrical shortages they were planning on having. That's crazy.
