we used to camp out pretty regular on an island in the lake. Glamping might be a better description of what we did...tents, air mattresses, food out the ass, water out the ass, gas stoves etc. etc. I would take my chainsaw and keep the campfire going. That takes a lot of effort. Sometimes we'd cook over the campfire. we had cast iron dutch ovens. We'd catch fish and eat them.
The longest time I stayed out there was four nights and I was way past ready to get back to the real comforts of home!
People can endure massive amounts of hardship but it's called hardship for a reason. It's hard!
Do what you can do to help these people.They're in a world of hurt.
