you portray yourself as being superior to every poster on this forum, but you don't know much about African history

Some 800 years ago, the Mali Empire sold slaves to the Muslims coming from Northern Africa. And at later times, the mighty Ashanti Empire sold their slaves to the slave-ships who took them to the Americas.

I remember seeing Pres. Obama and his wife on TV, visiting a fortress on the West-coast of Africa, where the Ashanti Empire kept its slaves, while waiting for the Western buyers to arrive in their ships. There was no need for those Westerners to go slave-hunting in the jungles.

While pointing out these facts, I am not trying to justify slavery. Slavery in any form is horrible, be it the slave hunters, the slave buyers, or the slave owners.
