It's somewhat akin to a rigged high stake poker game. At the table sits the mark, and four accomplices that are there to cheat him.

The mark discovers the cards, mulitiple decks, are crudely marked and easily spotted. The victim/mark claims the cards to be marked and shows, readily, that they were marked.

The four accomplices, at the table, say ... "No way! Those cards are NOT marked. You're out of your mind and attempting to overturn the results of this honest card game.

So, the victim calls the pit boss in. The pit boss, also in on the scam, says, "There's nothing to see here. This is the most transparent poker game in history."

The victim calls in casino management. They state that the cards are not marked and that this was the most transparent and honest poker game in history .... As they run the cards through a shredder.
