Hi Trend,
So, what are we saying .....
Things just seem to change from time to time and the more our technology advances we slowly may gain a better understanding ....
I recall just before starting college, still working in the boatyard in Atlantic City (Circa '60, '62) Icebreakers breaking up the ice in the basin just inside the Inlet so the small tankers could bring in the crude products to the small tank farm located there.
Never saw that in the 10 or so years before, or after ....
- Just one of those years ... And I remember it well !!!
I had been up the bay duck hunting and was coming home one night in January. The temp. dropped rapidly and it started making ice at a rapid rate. I was having trouble breaking through and really starting to wonder if I was going to make it. That was an unusual winter in that "stretch of time" but they happen !!!
So, now this year they are running icebreakers up the Hudson River to clear the channel to Albany. I recall that happening sometime in the '80's but it is not an annual event.
Just Normal Cycles and I just try to roll with them, but do try to learn a little from it all as time rolls on !!!
And I'm sure James is a "happy camper" freezing his butt off in Arkansas while his garden is ready to sprout in Alaska !!!
