Hi Gian,

Pork bellies are bacon, and years ago was a very active market. Someone posted some background info a year or so ago. Apparently way back, the real market for hogs was in the bacon, but things have changed. Now they market the hogs, bellies included. Just my recollection, if you do a little research I'm sure you will uncover the whole story !!!!
