Well I don't like to think fundamentals as the chart knows best but if and when rates rise the governments will also have to pay higher rates on all their debt too. And their debt is a hell of a lot more than ours for sure and will cost them financially as well as politically which is all they are concerned about. I suspect they will do everything in their power to keep rates low for their own purposes regardless. They always have in the past and create new and innovative ways to accomplish their needs. I also believe rates are about to rise but I tend to ignore what I 'think and believe' and just go by the charts. Never have been able to outhink the charts..........
