According to a Southern Illinois farmer, if rains don't come by Monday at the latest, the corn crop is a write off, there at least.

I'm not sure the power outages put too much of a dent in consumption. Around 2 million households w/o power versus, what, 70 million with?

As I recall you're in New England. You will escape the worst heat, for now...It still looks a summer for the record books.
