Re: CORN, Ng/CJ
In Response To: Re: CORN, Ng/CJ ()

Hi CeeJay,
Thanks for the comments,

On the power, I had seen numbers twice that ++ but that was really Sat./Early Sun. And they have been repairing things since That thought was also "hatched" when Ng couldn't seem to get off the dime at 2.8 - 2.805.

So, given that, and the continued Heat the Ng price does make sense at least in terms of it's movement since --- power is coming back, the AC's are running, consumption is increasing and the price is going up !!!!!

Wish some of the farmers that used to post would say something !!! They would show up when Corn was dropping into the 3's, but when it's 6++ they are pretty quiet. I find it hard to believe that we will have a total wipeout of the US Corn crop but I guess significantly more damage could be done.

On This:
"According to a Southern Illinois farmer, if rains don't come by Monday at the latest, the corn crop is a write off, there at least. "

That is barely half a week away !!!! And I'm sure that assessment covers a lot more ground than just Southern Illinois !!!

Not an expert on the grains by any means. My "hedge" at the moment, Buy bread and "freeze it" assuming you have a large freezer !!!!!

Thanks, Lee
