Yep, some people just can't help themselves from patting themselves on the back for being a good samaritan even if it causes an accident ahead. Not much different than pushing some kid in a toboggan down a busy hill into traffic really. Thankfully we don't have many snowfalls on the West Coast to deal with this and other snow related issues. I always have to laugh as the ones you see upside down in the ditch are often 4 wheel drives. Those guys just can't help themselves from tearing around showing off. Even with 4 wheel drive I tended to stay off snowy roads as it was the 'other guy' that could crash into me that I worried about.
As far as Hockey goes I don't miss those overpaid millionaires much. But it sure hurts a lot of businesses that are connected to Hockey games that's for sure. Amazing how many businesses are negatively affected by this including government tax revenues.
