Yep, I was reading on the interwebs the other day that there has been 5 mass extinctions in the history of life on earth in the past 450 billion years. Many scientists believe that we are well into the 6th extinction process now. A prolonged drought could sure contribute to an extinction process eh?. Mass extinctions are historically a natural cycle of the planet and there ain't nothing we can do about. Mother nature can be a real #####.
