Hurricane can have effects that go both ways. If a strong storm aims for an LA or east TX landfall, a relatively small hit can me made to NG production, not as much as previous years now that most gas comes from shale. On the other hand, temperatures are suppressed in the vicinity of the storm and power outages are likely, both which reduce demand for electricity generation. So even a pretty strong storm can be a wash with respect to NG consumption.
