nothing new here. many years ago I was leaving the trading floor and I saw a guy who I knew was a tech guy for the G working underneath the soybean oil pit -- I had met the guy thru a Chgo guy who was the same, two weeks earlier. I didnt' think much of it cuz it was none of my business. That Sat I run into the Chgo guy whose partner was tinkering under the bean oil pit. I tell him I saw his boy, he tells me he knows that. I told him I already forgot about it, he said "That's best". We have a couple of drinks, and I'm mulling all this over, how it would have gotten set up etc and I say, "so do you guys own seats on the exchange? He says, "Seats? We own the f@#$%^ couch".
The G will do whatever they want, whenever they want to do it, and it's always been that way. In Chgo it 's called "Law & Order".
