Hey Wayne...Cornman might be asking "how many ticks (tick value) makes a candle." For instance, a new candle is printed after 750 transactions (750=tick value) I don't know how they arrive at these "optimum" values, but day traders using Value Area techniques use tick charts in this way. Just more whistles and bells but I guess there's suppose to be some advantage. At least that's what they're trying to sell anyway.
