It must be a generational thing, because friends or ex-clients in Canada, the UK & Europe think Obama was a huge improvement over Bush, while those in Israel and Australia think we could have done better than Obama but he is better than Bush. My generation -- between the baby boomers and millenials -- don't talk politics as much as baby boomers, but do talk more than millenials. Most refuse to talk about Trump out right, one Aussie friend said "it's just unbelievable" re: Trump and commented on Americans voting for someone with absolutely no moral bearing -- Aussies tend toward the right compared to their European & Canadian cousins.
The Aussie, an Aerospace exec who works in a subsidy of a U.S. company who is in Israel often enough says that the lack of character thing is what he hears most.
I see Trump as having the least amount of character than any president in my lifetime.
Say what you will about Clinton. But it was Ken Star who said last year that he probably knows Clinton as much as anyone -- having investigated him for years and having interviewed everyone who ever worked with him -- friends and foe -- and came to the conclusion that Bill Clinton is a good man and the investigation Star built his career on was a waste of time and money.
One of the unintended consequences of Trump is younger people will take an interest in politics, having seen who their grandparents voted in. .
