Almost, to the better of my knowledge, all Cranes were solid lifters ...

Big problem in those old small block Fords ... with hydraulic, over a few rpms .. the lifter's would float. Solids? Nah .. just throw a rod .... Had to really keep an eye on the redline.

Baling hay for a buck to a buck fifty 'n hour ... I have often wondered how many bales I had to throw to pay for that car.
