It's always been a lopsided mix between peeps who know tools and those who don't. It's probably worse these days as everyone thinks having calluses on their hands is a sign of the lower class.I made quite a nice existence with my knowledge of how to use tools. As a result of remodeling for several years I had to purchase quite the collection of tools to get the jobs done...plus...I just like tools. Whenever a fam member calls wanting to borrow a tool they will ask do you have a whatever. "Boy...I got more tools than Home Depot." :-))

Mike Rowe is doing some good works trying to convince people that there's good work for hands on peeps and you don't have to go to college and get a degree with attached mega debt.
