That 'tweren't no typo. Those were all taken in my back "yard". There is one pear tree, in particular, very close to the side of the house. That "baiting station" was good for forty-eight of them, that year.

I hate coons. Not as much as rats or cockroaches .. but pretty darned close. At the bottom of my ravine, runs a creek. All of the property to the creek is mine. The creek belongs to the county's "metro-park system". We are overrun with critters and, much worse, tree huggers. During the day, in the summer months, does and their offspring will walk down the street. I've seen them walk eight abreast.

But, raccoons ... seriously, I cannot keep up with them.
