And, a "bad conduct" discharge, pursuant to the Military Code of Justice, falls under the category of a dishonorable discharge.

Any of these three should have prevented him from purchasing, owning, or possessing a firearm. However, he lied on form 4473, which SHOULD have been discovered, running the background check.
