Was down in Corpus once and I was standing beside and back of a guy who was in front of me...as he ordered something I heard him say something to the little girl who was Mexican looking. I didn't understand what he said in toto but he had apparently asked the little girl something about her heritage because the last two words out of his face was Mexican-American. That, I heard.

Apparently, she took serious issue with being a hyphenated American.

Little girl bows up...and loudly says...I...Am...An...American!!

Stunned so by her adamant declaration...all I could think to say was...Hell Yea. haha

The blood sucker yesterday was oriental. :-)
