Re: tariffs and the market... *LINK*
In Response To: Re: tariffs and the market... ()

this country has always used tariffs to fund the godvernment...amongst other things but never a tax on individual income until 1913 when they ratified the unconstitutional 16th amendment, wherein they "legalized" the theft of individual income with the resultant enslavement of citizens in order to fund the godvernment.

Should anyone wish to argue that point, don't bother. Had the constitution allowed for the theft of personal income and enslavement of citizens they would have not needed to amend the constitution with the 16th amendment. It's just that simple.

Tariffs are nothing new. Apparently, Trump, has brought great pressure on China with their use. Supposedly he will remove them when China comes to heel.

Will agree with ES on one thing. Everybody needs to do their share in the battle...farmers included. I don't cotton to much to alleviating the supposed pain they are suffering with payments from my tax dollar.

Maybe that will end soon as it appears Trump has worked a deal with Japan for the agriculture peeps. We'll see.
