shooting... *PIC*
welp....back to the built AR-15 and some store bought hornady match grade 75 grain JHPBT bullets. 100 yards...off a bench with a bipod and rear bag. Silencer. Little orange dot is 1 inch in diameter.
The shot dead in the middle is the cold bore shot as they're called in the biz. the five or six that make up the cluster is where the gun is actually shooting. At least that's my understanding according to the big time shooters. They say that the first round out of a cold barrel will likely be off a little. So I don't count that shot as a part of the group...even if I did it would still be a tolerable group in my mind. Discount it and the cluster is really good.Right at 1/2 inch or a 1/2 MOA(Minute Of Angle). You buy an AR and they say it's good for 1.5 to 2 MOA,
If I had my eye's back and a bench where I could really lay on the gun with comfort...no telling what it would do.
At any rate...in my mind that's how a gun should shoot. I'll adjust the scope so that it moves the cluster group more toward the center where the cold bore shot is and see if I can't make that look a little better.
Next trip out...200 yards to see if it holds together. Unfortunately, 200 yards is the max distance at the range.
