Elon is running a program.

What he really wants to do is excite us to Mars to become dreamers of a spacefaring universe.

What he will do now is to create SPACEFREIGHT. Passing asteroids, etc. will be sent mining bots to harvest and refine the components to be delivered when the next pass-by occurs. No freight charges moving from on place another.

We cannot go to space with the resources we now have. We will have to have/create new sources of energy and components

solar for the space trip to get the return or even tiny nukes.:-)
