I have blown wooden targets to smithereens at 2000 yards. People say, that's "impossible":, however the AR50 has been shown to be accurate at 4500 yards.
With the appropriate rests and optics, 2000 yards is possible even for an old fart well into his seventies.
Surely, you know some farmer with a long enough stretch to lay out 1000 yards or so.
Even my .300 Win Mag will do 1000 yards.
It's not like you're shooting free hand. Rest with optics properly adjusted makes for an enjoyable afternoon. One shot and then off to the bottle.
