There are thirty-two states that have disclosed, data base purposes, close to forty percent of convictions that would have resulted in certain persons becoming "Prohibited Persons", under the Gun Control Act of 1968. Moreover, over eighty-eight THOUSAND people that have lied on form 4473. That, my friend is a felony that has severe penalties (no thirty days in jail crap .. serious federal time). Of those eighty-eight thousand (plus), ONLY forty-four have had charges brought against them.

So, why not actually follow existing law? Why not actually prosecute those guilty of perpetrating felonies? When gummint gets around to doing that ... then, start passing additional legislation and/or promulgating regulations.
