That Birchwood Casey stuff has been around since Methuselah was a pup.

That vase is simply amazing. Had I not seen the knot hole, and that other wood flaws ... I would have sworn, by that picture, it was highly polished stone. That is freakin' AMAZING! Man-oh-man-oh-man.

First time, that I used it, I must have been eleven or twelve (I think twelve). Someone told me that you were supposed to rub it in by hand, DON"T use a rag. Then, between each coat, use 0000 steel wool. It was a gorgeous satin finish. Of course, when I got older ... Either refinishing a stock, or having built one out of a blank ... I tried the "professional stuff". Went back to Tru-oil.
