Hi Lee. I don't actually try to calculate an explicit injection number, but rather try to determmine based on climatology if the number is below, near or above the seasonal average. Today's number I think will be near (within 2 Bcf) of the seasonal injection for last week which is around 78 Bcf, so we're in the same ballpark. Next week's number looks to be below the weekly average as very warm conditions spread well into the NE this weekend. NG got a bit of a bump from Tropical Storm Arlene this week but it headed well south of Brownsville into the Mexican Sierra. Even though that storm had little to no chance of hitting the mainland US, it did influence price. During Hurricane season, its important for NG traders to keep an eye on the tropics.
