Re: Keystone Pipeline Rejected!/Lee

Well there is also a pipeline proposed called the Northern Gateway Pipeline from Alberta oil sands to the Canadian West Coast. 'IF" that pipeline gets approved in Canada the oil would be sold to China who is chomping at the bit with their money on the table, no questions asked. They would pick it up in their own tankers. And I'm sure they would tie a major chuck of it all up with guarantees of delivery to them before signing any agreements. And they don't give a damn about anything other than what they want. The environmentalists are also just as rabid about building that pipeline along with a variety of other groups. I wouldn't bet money on it being built despite the Conservative Government here strongly determined to build it. Many native bands object to it along with other groups and to build it they'd likely have to pay them off big time. Probably wouldn't be worth it after all of them got a big piece of the pie forever. Oddly enough there is already a pipeline from that area to the West Coast that was built several decades ago when people were more concerned about jobs and the economy and just plain common sense than saving the environment from possible spills. There has been next to no issues with that existing pipeline over the decades. Maybe we should just give it all back to the animals, lol.
