Well I'd look at the Strangle at a price point like this but more often than not they are still very expensive. Doesn't matter about direction then. Those option sellers do like to milk you for as much as possible and have a good portion of either move covered well with the premiums collected.
By the way if you drew a thick line with a felt pen through the center of a price chart smoothly and then looked down at the Modified MACD you'd see they match. It tracks the trend without all the erratic price action much like a cruise ship in the water does unlike a speed boat zig zagging all over the place.
