Windows=Winblows...get it ;)
Really the only way a linux user can trade..is using a web based platform. Linux supports Java...but its kernal code cannot directly run any trading software or platforms that I know of at present.. This may all change soon with the Android phones becoming popular. The OS of these phones are based on UNIX. ...and apps are be developed everyday for them....but this is pure speculation on my part. VM Ware allows you to run mutliple OS types at the same time. Since windows leaks memory worse than my college beater leaking oil....Linux kind of plugs the leaks so to speak, thus allowing windows to run faster and perhaps safer in terms of security.
