They have wacked up the towns by perceived incomes and tax the crap out of you on property taxes.
Nationalizing industries etc. leans more toward Communism I think. Here they just take it out of your pocket and give it to someone else !!!!

I really don't know on Syria. I wish we would just let them fight their Civil wars and stay out of it. Now looks like Egypt may flare up again !!! If we need to go in and take over the Suez Canal, so be it, but let the rest of the chips fall where they may !!!

Hate to say it, but we don't have the resources to keep up this "nation building" stuff.

I'm now in the mode - It's on the other side of the Ocean, let Europe handle it !!!! Tired of it !!!
