The Constitution's separation of powers was intended to prevent arbitrary rule by any branch of government. However, it can lead to deadlock, as well. If the next election ends up with Obama in the executive suite and the congress Republican, we're looking at 4 years of Italy.
NG wildly volatile today after the storage report. Next week's numbers will likely be well below average too due ongoing heat but supplies are high. That's why a pull back today doesn't surprise me. Nevertheless, the bulk of the summer is still looking above to well above average temperature-wise. Supplies should continue to converge toward normal.
