That picture I posted long ago was of downtown Victoria,B.C. not Vancouver. Those are local sailing boats in the harbour right down town. A huge tourist center area around there with lots of activities. The U.S.Ferry Coho leaves there every morning and goes to Port Angeles Wash. and returns a couple of times per day. And sailing is a very big deal here with races now and again in the Juan de Fuca Strait which is between Victoria,B.C. and Washington State U.S. A lot of U.S. sailing boats enter what's called the Swiftsure races. But there are many expensive sailing boats here in a variety of places and is a very pricey but popular hobby. Never cared much for it myself. This is an old picture as cars don't park along there anymore and there are usually far more boats in the marina than what's shown there. The Legislature building is showing and the far background is the Olympic mountain range in the U.S.
