I have started using flash drives to store important info. Don't know if it will be more secure but it is less mechanical so maybe....less to go wrong???

have saved an old computer from 1995 and use it to access some info on floppies that can't be accessed by today's computers. new computers won't read some of the data on very old media like that. lots of family photos that would be lost.
