I used to use paste wax on furniture that I made, or restored. But, never auto buffing compound or auto finish. Is the finish wax, or some of the newer hi-tech stuff? I bet your stuff (do you turn bowls and the like?) shines like the sun.

Used to call that "fancy-dancy".
