Being able to toss it on the lathe to wet sand and buff it really makes the job easy. I don't suspect I have a combined hour and a half worth of work in the finish itself. Having used it on rifle stocks as you have...you know how that goes...takes a few minutes to rub the tru-oil on...then wait...few minutes of sanding...few minutes for the next coat...then wait...repeat...repeat...till you get it right. ha!
