They do make something called friction polish that you apply while the lather is spinning...does a pretty good job. I've seen people on the net apply an epoxy with the piece on the lathe but that's something for them to do...not my kind of deal.

I don't apply the tru-oil while the piece is on the lathe. I do the wet sanding and polishing with it on the lathe.
