not yet, but I've fleshed out the problem. Dead screen. Was hoping the connection between screen and vid card had somehow come loose...no.

hooked computer to TV via HDMI port and everything came up on the TV. At least I can see to back up data should I not be able to find proper replacement screen and have to get new computer.
