WP to repeat Wayne's comment... it's pathetic!!

Love fractions always have. I have a strong background in ground up construction. Converting feet & inches to 10's is, for me elementary. I get so frustrated at the younger generation. Example, field foreman (young buck)... can you help me, what's 27.45 feet? Like you, ya go through the gyrations of explaining the conversation and they still don't get it!!!

Two years ago we had to stick frame a 6/12 roof over over a connecting corridor to existing building. Lead carpenter's up there with a level. Pence marks all over the wall. I ask where's your framing square? At home. Do you have a speed square? Yeah right here, why? Makes ya want to hurt someone!
