You are right. We can shoot most anything here.

Do you recommend the 45-70 as a viable round for deer, boar, etc.? I am thinking of adding another piece. .243 ammo is a bit more common but I am not sure it is a good boar round. My son-in-law lives in eastern NC and they have boars and bears. Flat but lots of trees.

I know that you like to have the perfect gun for each occasion. How hard does a 12 gauge slug hit compared to some of these? Do you worry about loss of good meat with larger lead?
