Yep, I use over-the-air indoor antenna. Works great and gets 20-25 stations. There used to be a site where you would plug in your physical address and it told you the brand and model of the antenna that would work best.

My "state-of-the-art" (at the time) 50" Panasonic plasma tv is perfectly good for me. They said it would last 20-40,000 hours. Mine may have 1,000 on it and I've had it some years. Probably be the last tv I'll ever need. Have a CRT, too. lol.

My car is a 2000 Toyota Echo with 150k on it. People are getting 300-400k out of them most times before any big work. Probably the last car i'll need.

I like to spend my money on ribeyes, wine, ebay/CL, good clothes/shoes, etc... I think most consumer stuff is a waste of good money. Cars particularly. I like to experience the very best and then just let it go. Cuban cigars, stereos, vacation places, etc. in the past but no longer appeal. If you have $50 you can experience some of the finest things life has to offer. Most people just don't know about most of those items to even try them. You can split a $5-10k a week vacation home with 5 bedrooms with 5 people on some of the best beaches in the world.
