I think Michael Lewis' book: "The Big Short" -- and subsequent movie -- does a better job of describing what happened 10 years ago better than LUAB's colorful narrative.
I've read all the different perspectives here and I think what most people fail to see is the big picture. The focus should always be on intent, and then on who paid the lobbyists to smooth out the politicians. Who profited the most?
I understand your emotions cuz on some level it's probably dawning on some of you that your arguments provide cover, and votes, for the scumbags who profited the most.
I don't have a problem profiting from market movement regardless of the underlying fundamentals, as long as I ain't schleppin' someone else's kool-aid and blaming pissant politicians.
The Big Short. May be one of the best trading movies ever.
